Fashion Tip of the Week .31

So I spent an hour working on this fashion tip and with just a click, boom, all of it gone! So imma just go with one runway.

Fashion Tip of the Week #31: So y'all pay attention to this runway. This is for both boys and girls. These looks are what y'all need to look at for the fall 2006. This perhaps one of my favorite collections from this Ready-to-wear season.

Adam Eve - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

If you see repetitve looks, then you gotta look at the other person. Some photos, I chose for the guys some for the girls. Just look around. Key things to look at this collection: vests, layering (proper), dresses, shoes, and pants. Enjoy! and next time i will cover more than just one.

Fashion Tip of the Week .30

So YES! How exciting... a brand new tip. AND IT IS EXCLUSIVE! WOOHOO! So man... i know its been awhile. So what is soooo special about this then the others besides the PHOTOS galore that ull see that I HAVE A PODCAST!!! So if you have an iPOD. ull be able to hear it [note: im still working out the kinks and hopefully it works!]. So lets get started!

Fashion Tip of the Week #30: Because this show is a fan favorite to many fashionistas, Project Runway has inspired me to really analyze one runway that I found proven to be very wearable. Im talking about Daniel Vosovic. His runway included great outfits perfect for the business woman. This is inspiration to all of my friends who are about to graduate from college. Girls these are some of the looks ull wanna get. Why dont you put aside those simple suits and look into something more like this!

[Warning: if you dont wanna see this runway because you are in an avid project runway watcher, these contain spoilers]

1 - This outfit spices up the traditional pencil skirt with a floral print jacket with slight embroidery. This spring season keys in on embroidery (reference to past journal entries) and modern updates on classic looks.

2 - Military outfits are back in. You see the shoulder panels? Well those are key elements. Simple blouses can be turned into tops for work really work and can slim down a figure! Once again, emphasis on the pencil skirt

3 - Despite weather conditions in any location, EVERY GIRL should have a peacoat. This one, is very flattering to the woman's body and flares out. Emphasis on the double breasted for a more slimming look and a taller collar. Great great great!

4 - The black dress is BACK IN! Ladies ladies, join this bandwagon now if you havent. Simple black cocktail dresses are the IN thing. Every girl needs to have one and the best part about this... you can wear them casually!

5 - The knit satin top is back in. This protruding white top is an updated look of the ballet top. (Although the girl looks like she is drunk or something).

6 - Top is horrible...lets analyze the pleated skirt. If one is gonna wear a pleated skirt then it is HIGHLY recommended that skirt ends ABOVE the knees. The waist band should is perfect sized and something you take a look at.

Okay so these looks... are KEY to this spring-transition to-fall wardrobe. You may feel that my selection is a little bit drab but these KEY pieces selected above are perfectly capable of casual wear. YES, CAUSAL WEAR! You will see that you can combine a simple pencil skirt with a vintage top. Or a peacoat with cropped pants.

Be fashion forward and go ahead of the crowd. You have the idea now make it happen. By the one that sets the chic trend.

Fashion Tip of the Week .29

So i wasnt planning on putting one up this week because well, ive been busy with midterms and shtick. But since this is really a present for Aly (happy bday girl!) cuz i know she just loves my tips. So a lot is going on in the fashion world this week. Olympus Fashion Week is going on and there is just tons and tons to sort through! I'll update y'all later on that once things settle down for me. So since its a crossover right now for winter/spring collections, why dont I just tell you what you should look out for Spring

Fashion Tip of the Week #29: Here are the trends right now for spring.

_Bold prints - So, I must admit to amber, yes you were right bold prints like flowers are in. But with a little bit of lightness and more flow prints to it. Designers for spring went for the bold patterns and states to evoke a feeling. Ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

_The innocents - This category includes eyelets, lace, openwork embroidery, and white dresses. If you have those peasant skirts waiting in the closets, take them out and alter it and make a cute dress out of it! Ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

_The Kimono - So Asian fashions are back and movies like Memoirs and 2046 inspired many designers to go asian on this one. Ex: 1, 2

_The New Sexy - Cocktail dresses, slits and bandage dresses seem to make a new statement. Ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

_The Reinvented Pantsuit - This doesnt mean you go all power-bitch on everyone. Soft lines create femininity and sexyness. Ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

_Shirtdressing - Double breasted shirts/jackets, boyfriend shirt-steelers are finding reason to wear their shirts outside. Ex: 1, 2, 3 (OO btw, for the casual look, girls take a t-shirt [long in length], take a thick belt and wrap it around your waist [not thighs] and a denim mini and you are set)

Fashion Tip of the Week .28

So big big big news... fashion week is upon us and im sure therez lots to oogle about. Isnt it crazy how designers already have their fall stuff out. So in true to form, I thought it would be fitting to be presenting you with photos to what you need to be wearing for this Spring.

Fashion Tip of the Week #28:

A large amount of tonal colours are making its way back. Brown, Greys, Black, Nude, Beige. The idea is going with what matches your skin tone.
But of alot of it draws from "Prep" or "Rustic" (ladies there is a huge difference between this and cowboy!).

here are some looks, i think you girls can pull off for this spring.

Fashion Tip of the Week .27 -Guys Edition

So im launching off from the success of my top ten must haves/looks for Spring 2006.

Fashion Tip of the Week #27: Here what your man needs to be wearing for Spring 06. Or even better... what you need to know to tell your male friends to be wearing.

So here are some looks that I think are going to be the success of Spring [Remember to choose things like it]:

1_ Tom Ford Sunglasses -major chic

Looks: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Key pieces: Military styling (cap/pants/shorts); Skinny ties; LONG sleeved tops; SANDALS!; causal chic.

So I hope this helped in shaping out outfits for your man. There is no need for exact replicas or anything like that. You have the concept, now incorporate that with your man's wardrobe. Gluck! And remember:

Fashion Tip of the Week .26

So like i said, this new year is starting off with a BANG! So im starting the year with MUST HAVES for your spring wardrobe! READ!

Fashion Tip of the Week #26: Since most of you girls wait till the actual season to follow the trends (like many others). So here are the top 10 must haves for spring:
1_ Want to minimize that waist? Use a wide belt to make that waist appear smaller. Recommended fabric: sexy red vernis or soft velvet.

2_ Its spring, so lets show some knee! This Daisy Duke inspired look is going beyond and becoming fashionably in...
Teamed with a cropped jacket or a button-down and vest, cuffed shorts.
3_ Minimize what you are carrying... designer bags are becoming even smaller.
4_ The new "NONCOLOR" of the season... NUDE. Yes ladies, that au-naturale color is back. Color of choice to match with NUDE, that would be black.
5_ Rustic colors are back in: teal, a rich turquoise, a rich dirty orange, a copper brown...
6_ The babydoll is back in BUT the sixties styled baby doll look. It has less pleats around the chest area. Examples:
1, 2, 3
7_ Like I stated before, slim is in. But that doesnt mean losing your weight. The Spring must-have pants are
strictly tailored, superlean, and slashed just north of the ankles.
8_ If the small handbag doesnt fit you... then the other accessory you have to have: an extra-large tote.
9_ So another style, if you arent into the rustic look go with the sailor look or use of sailor colors
: blue-and-white sailor stripes and bold brass buttons. Example: 1
10_ Seeking a wedge alternative? Chunky-heel platforms are a perfect match for spring's no-frills silhouette.

Fashion Tip of the Week .25

EDITORS NOTE: So as the year is coming to an end, I reflect upon the great times that Ive experienced with this fashion tip blog. Many of my breakout tips were even suprising to myself. And for me, that is more than I could ever expect from myself. Such hard-labor came from these threads with care and love for the body of a woman (in every shape and size despite my critics). But in true-ness ive come out of this year growing stronger and stronger by the continual support all of you have given me. It is my hope that I am able to continue this blog and reach a larger market. So thank you.

Fashion Tip of the Week #25: So I thought I would go out with a bang and create a new tip for you all but I thought, psst, make them wait a lil. Rather, I was inspired to bring back some of my biggest tips that has jump-started my fame among you all.

Fashion Tip of the Week .24

IM BACK! Yes sir-ree I am back! It has been sucha strain not being able to do this for you all. Only cuz perhaps, I have been dressing slightly sloppy myself (admittedly). But no worries, this person has not gone dry and there is always a fashion mistake to be pointed out is what I say! So lets get this started! BTW, if you havent commented on my profile pic, dont forget to do that one too. I got all dressed up for this occasion!

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #24: So one of my huge pet peeves is poor coordination with accessories. Alot of girls dont seem to get the idea that some of the accessories that was once IN is soooooo GONE. It is time to put those accessories back in the vault. So this entry is compeletely dedicated to matching the right accessory that casual outing.

So these are some accessories that I found to be the ESSENTIAL add on to your casual wardrobe:

There is nothing like bringing back the classics to your casual outing wear. These include: Over-sized bags and over-sized [fashion] sunglasses; Throw away those horrible "sparkely belts" and replace them with the very fashionable chains. Or use those chains and pearls with a favorite charmeuse top. Hairbands are coming back with a full force... think luxe-rious hairbands. Or how bout those naked arms?!? --cuffs are coming back in a big way... Cold? --How bout a traditional burberry scarf?

Mix and match is the best way to go...If anything seems questionable, then you probably shouldnt put those two together. Test the waters...

So my Nicole-Richie-Not is now going to be called Fashion-Fades

fashion-fades is Silver and Gold metallic anything... Goodbye, no more of that. Fur-trimmed boots... Its gone. Only meant for jackets to make them look cute. Uggs are okay ONLY provided that you wear it if u are looking shitty. No sense in trying make those a fashion statement. Comfort is the only reason you should have them. PERIOD. Double layering of the polos are gone. Gauchos are seriously out! Girls, they have overwelcomed their stay.

Paris Hilton-Hots is changing to Fashion-Rings

fashion-rings to look out for are belts outside your shirt buckled to show off that waist line. Rustic wear... this is seriously underrated. Better come in with those rustic colours. Broches used a jewlery... Turn that broach into a bracelet or a necklace...Monotone platforms are ok. I dont completely hate them. So they are a fashion-ok.

So this week, is the shoppers holiday... like i seriously believe Black friday is meant to be solely for shopping. So I thought, why not take a detour from fashion tips about some person I saw wearing a hideous outfit and lets take a look at sales strategies.

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK ..23:

Alrighty people so some tips for shopping...

1_ DONT BUY IT BECAUSE ITS ON SALE UNLESS YOU REALLY INTEND ON WEARING IT.

2_ DONT BUY IT BECAUSE ITS ON SALE PERIOD. IF YOU KNOW IT LOOKS EHH OR HMM ON YOU THEN PERHAPS U WERENT MEANT TO HAVE IT.

3_ Retailers count on you spending large amounts of money this time of year but did you know this is the most perfect time to get shoes???

4_ Dont waste money on accessories... exception: Cute bags and shoes.

5_ Remember, colors!

6_ Search for spring 06 items okay?

7_ Wake up early and remember, slap that bitch if she has her grimey hands all over your future sweater!

I know this doesnt seem much but trust me. It will help you. Enjoy your thanksgiving (the time you can stuff your brains out) but RUN RUN RUN when you are trying to get what you want!

He's the ubersexual — the man who can talk fashion with women but also compete for them with the fireman at the bar.

Fashion Tip of the Week .22 [Part Two]

So since, Im in sucha good mood, Im putting out three entries. One) Cuz I love my readers and I wanna do this for them. Two) Its my birthday. Three) ITS MY 21st birthday and Im in a good mood!! My present to y'all! So lets get this ball rolling....


FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #22: So this entry, part 2 will focus on READY TO WEAR clothing from the fall collection of Habitual... I found that many people have been complaining that I dont present realistic clothing so here we go. Just one Nicole Richie Not and I'll show you the works!


Leather Pants and Skirts - UMMM nooo they are only meant to be worn by rock stars. Never have I seen leather pants been worn well on anyone. Girls avoid it at all costs! Do yourself and the world a favor and save us from the harsh scene of leather pants or skirts.


Okay Now that I got that out of the way.... I present to you the must have from Habitual.


A intro: this is a grungy look with stylish flair... a mixture of everything. Especially focus on the jeans... it elongates the legs.

So you see there are tons of variety. I wanted to give you a sense of mixture. Notice how long the legs look with jeans strategically worn above the hip and on the hip. The straight boy cuts and the slightly extra long leg adds to the leggy look.

Fashion Tip of the Week .22 [Part One]

So I know its been awhile since I did a fashion tip. And I apologize for that. Ive been very stressed and lots of midterms so, Im sorry. So since its been awhile, I thought I treat everyone out and give a triple whammy! So after reading this one read part 2 (which will be solely photos of what I think y'all should consider) and the Guy's edition which is an article about the new type of "sexual" (definate-NOT TO MISS!). Lets get this ball rolling!


FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #22: So there is alot that I should talk about but Ive gotten lots requests on what type of shoes one can wear and whats in and out of style. So here we go:


Paris Hilton Hot!


Cowboy boots - Big thing this season is the return of this classic. But I do advise you to wear the most appropriate things with it. What is most flattering is skin tight jeans (stretch).Yes I just said stretch! Only because the opening of the boot is wide and your pants should fall into the boot. Embroidering on cowboy boot is important since it shows uniqueness and embroidery is in!


Flats - So girls complain about how I always suggest heels. Flats are cute... Mary Jane-styled are a big plus. So an alternative is flats okay? Happy? These types of shoes look good with cropped pants or skirts (both short and knee high).


Slingbacks - An alternative to closed ankle flats are slingbacks. Very chic and simply hot for those tall girls. No need for a high stiletto heel. Just a short one will be fine. Perfect for more dress pants or dark denim.


Heels - We all know I prefer these. Its a girls best friend just like carrie is to her manolo blahniks. That is why girls need shoes! Perfect combo with anything you wear (literally)!! Just make sure you refer to my hot/cool entry for combinations


Sandals - Well enough said. Everyone loves sandals. Just avoid sandals with big platform. Thin sandals should do the trick. Accept your height, your clothing should add onto your height. In my other entry I will show you photos of elongating your legs.


Nicole Richie Nots:


Fur lined-boots - I know it is winter but ladies cmon now. The laced ones are so NOT cute. It kinda defeats the purpose of wearing something warm with a short skirt. If you want to even consider the idea of wearing those horrific things (even though I advised against it)... wear them with cropped pants or cuff cropped. And if those dont look good...then ladies, obviously you werent meant to wear those boots.


Wedges - As much as comfort is important, there are other shoes that can be an alternative to these types of shoes. We all know I hate wedges with a passion. Remember this ladies, you are trying to flatter what you are wearing not trying to create more clutter to your legs. I find that wedges pull you down even though they add to your height. And inside tip, it ruins the arch of your foot.


Clogs - Never okay to wear these. NEVER! Its like dragging your feet. Bad for your feet. Wedges and clogs are heavy-weight. Ruins your ankle over time.

Fashion Tip of the Week .21

OK, so I know some of you have been deprived of my fashion tips. So here is a new update. So here is a new update. Fashion week (more like months) are still rolling in and more and more designers are suprising me more and more. And it seems that many of you respond to pictures and one of my most popular posts was layering. So lets talk about specific layering. What I like to call "Hot/Cold Layers"


FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #21: So I dont want to repeat my layering tips because that is unique within itself. Or I dont ever want to repeat myself with last week's tip.


Here is my theory on Hot/Cold Layers (some of you may find simple-minded): As much as it is great to wear pratically nothing, there should always be a method of layering. Hot/Cold layers focuses on layering different things that mix with the current weather.


So here are things you might want to consider - my rules on things you should NEVER layer together:


1_ When the weather is cold/rainy, absolutely never, NEVER be stupid and wear a skirt and a thin material top.


2_ A (puffy) jacket should NEVER be combined with a skirt.


3_ Denim jeans or skirts should NEVER be worn with leg warmers. Ladies, that ship has sailed off with the early 90s.


4_ With a longer coat NEVER wear short stubby shoes. Basically, coats that go past the rear (in length) should always be worn with a higher heel.


5_ Who ever said never wear white after labor day should be instituted. White can be worn But NEVER, wear mono-chromatic outfits. If you are going to wear a light color, layer it with warm tones


6_ Mid-drifts are okay to show but if you refer to my layering post, more thin layers (you will want more than 2) = the better. So NEVER wear layers that makes you lose your curves in your outfit.


7_ Accessories are HUGE when layering. But, NEVER wear bulky accessories that take away from your GREAT layering. (i.e. bulky scarves.)


8_ Lace can only cover so much. Girls, NEVER overdo it with the layering of the lace. Its cute but too much can take it away.


9_ A silk charmeuse top may be cute for summer or for clubbing but NEVER wear it with cold weather. So basically, NEVER wear tops that will make your headlights turn on. (I know by stating that, I have disappointed millions of guys). Avoid material like that for Fall/Winter.


10_ Try to AVOID colors like black, beige, tan, brown (unless its khaki or dark or walnut)/(for girls- quite biased, i know). Remember to mix warm with cool tones. It spices up an outfit.

Fashion Tip of the Week .20

So hey girls, I had this elaborate thing I was going to speak about but suddenly i wanted to talk about fashion faux pas! Its because some chick near me is a major fashion no no!

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #20: So lets talk about correctly putting an outfit together....

NEVER, absolutely, NEVER wear boots with an skirt that goes past your knees! Peasant skirts should NEVER be worn with granny panties because well, its see through. Try layering something underneath it to prevent that area from showing.

And girls, not always does black, white and red work together. Red lipstick, black shirt and boots and white skirts arent gonna cut it. (Well at least from what i see in front of me. UGH!)

How to fix this: Even tho, she was big, she should have worn a more sleeker skirt-knee high. She should have worn a looser shirt. Flat ironed her hair and used a nude shade of lipstick to make her lips fuller in shape.

Remember to pick slimming clothes vs. tight clothes. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE GIRLS!

Which gets into my tip of the week... Dont wear clothes that where your body gets lost in it. Meaning... wear things that fit your body. Places that hit your curves are better than wearing things that force your body in a different direction (ie. creating stomach rolls).

Fashion Tip of the Week .19

Okay lets try this again. I was finished but for some reason the internet didnt work on me and I lost everything! So Like i said, i promised I would do this for all of you. It is going to be short and sweet and I thought I would pick out some outfits (since you girls like it so much) that I think you would need for your fall/spring wardrobe (more spring than fall).

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #19: So like I said, some new things to look for. If you recall, I put some staple items that are essentials for spring. Fabrics: chiffon [even with casual outfits!]. Okay. So i was intrigued by some designers' line.

Ralph Lauren - 1, 2, 3, 4

D&G - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ---Outfits... NOT THE HAIR!

Enjoy and remember as a cautionary note: I SUPPLY THE PICTURES/OUTFITS.... you find the outfit LIKE that but not necessarily from that designer. Hell if you can get it for 3 dollars at Forever 21..then go for it! Gluck

Fashion Tip of the Week .19 - Guys Edition

So i was speaking to my friend recently about fashion and he had asked me a question about layering and how it applied to guys... which prompted me to really think... do guys really have any fashion sense at all or they trying to compensate for something else? This edition is meant for you guys and girls to learn how to properly wear layered clothing (and for you girls to teach your man how to!)

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #18:

So this resurrected Guy's edition is only because it was requested. Layering for guys...

Here is the proper technique for correctly layering guys. Pay attention!

My rules:

#1- DONT WEAR THE SAME COLORS WHEN LAYERING!

#2- Faded shirts (of the same color) does NOT count! - That is very distateful.

#3- When layering, thin layers work best.

#4- Tanks over tanks are a no no

#5- Polo over polo is NOT acceptable AND the popped up collar is only acceptable if you correct neck length!

#6- Constrasting colors are important! Black on black is NEVER NEVER an acceptable look.

#7- Layer different types of fabric (for example cotton button up with a merino vest or a merino v-neck sweater)

#8- If the shirt contains stripes never never pair it up with a stripe jacket OR sweater! Solids and stripes work best when they are together... not stripe with stripe.

#9- the longer shirt SHOULD ALWAYS be bottom layer than the top one. (Exception: If the shirt is a white-beater it is okay for it be shorter or an undershirt).

#10- The whole point of layering is to show off different pieces so make sure that the under layer is showing in a significant manner.

#11- My special cardinal rule. Wear colors that matches your skin tone. Or your complextion. Few can only pull off pink or orange. Dont try unless you got the skin tone for it. Wear colors that will enhance your look in a positive aspect.

Some staple things you should layer:

_Long sleeve button ups with vests OR v-neck sweaters for a classy look.

_Polos with a "wife/white-beater" that is another color. Rich colors underneath if the polo is light and pastels/lighter colored beaters under a polo that is dark. Unbutton the polo to show off the beater. Contrast guys

_V-neck short sleeves matched with fitted long-sleeve shirts with a crew neck.

_Print-tees with (non insulting wording) with jackets. Vintage looks always great.

_Never layer denim on denim! Meaning Denim jacket with denim pants. Denim jackets are good with cargo shorts.

_Blazers are good with casual clothing...minus the shoulder pads of course.

Well that are some of the stuff that you take into consideration. Gluck fellas. and remember layering a sport jersey with long sleeve tees or a plain white short sleeve tee does NOT count! Dress for your girlfriend!

Fashion Tip of the Week .18

So fall is here but to me, spring and summer looks are still lingering around. I know the weather is hot so this should give you some time to collect the things you should get for the cooler weather to come. So here are your staple items for this fall!

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #18:
So some staple items that you are going to want to pick out:

1_ the wide scarves - no point in the flimsy thin scarves that do no justice. Talk about keeping yourself warm.

2_ fake fur - this is alternative to the scarves. Perfect for a "from day to night" look.

3_ Embroidery - Once again, i emphasize the embroidery items. Enough said about that.

4_ Men's cut trousers - perfect for the urban chic look. This is great because it is out of the ordinary. Go vintage/rummage shopping, ull find some great trousers that will complete your look

5_ Folklore skirts - tired of the denim frayed skirt look? well folklore is back in and you will see that store's holiday collection have more of a short skirt folklorey type material/look.

6_ Jersey tops - NO GIRLS, NOT ACTUAL SPORT JERSEYS! the shirt jersey tops are now updated (so go to those stores like forever 21 or AE or Gap in a month or two and you will be able to find Jersey tops). Then pair it up with a wide belt that you normally wear around the rear (loosely) put it on top of the jersey top to accentuate the waist.

7_ Waist high coats - any material is fine... just make sure its tailored to your body and pair it up with a print-tee and you are set!

8_ Chiffon tops - hello, if you insist on wearing the denim skirts during winter then a chiffon top will go well with your skirt or denim.

So a summary of what look you are going for... rustic, vintage, mod- look. Gluck!

Fashion Tip of the Week .17

So this week is perfect because it collides with New York Fashion Week. And this week I want to present to all of you fashion forward styles. With short tips so y'all dont have to do all that reading girls!

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #17:

I recently found myself admiring Carolina Herrera's work for the spring 2006 collection. You all should soon find a version of these photos that I found promising in your favorite stores...

1 - the reinvention of white shirts with drawstrings - hot commodity; 2 - again with the drawstrings in the shirt makes well with the vest. 3 - This outfit exemplifies chic. The embroidered skirt paired with a simple top with a short sleeved jacket. 4 - Preppy is making a big come back with vests and this outfit shows the "ok"-ness to wear a knit-vest with a low scoop-neck. Pair it with a nice A-line skirt. 5 - Well I simply love this outfit because it utilizes lightweight materials. But what I think will most help you out is the embroidered top that she has over.

So for a summary of this collection key staple items to have BEFORE the season hits:

1_ Fitted Scoop-neck vests

2_ Embroidered skirts

3_ Embroidered jackets (NOT TO BE WORN with the skirts!) -Becomes overkill on the embroidered look.

4_ Thin-material layered items whether that be jewelery or jackets paired with a slik/charmeuse top.

5_ A-Line skirts (*Only for those who need a reduction-in-weight-look in the thigh and hip area. OTHERWISE, tailored skirts fitted towards your curves

6_ Im sorry to say this but HEELS HEELS HEELS! Open-toed stiletto heels. Girls, start training your feet for that!

Another designer that I want you girls to look at for IDEAS of LIKE*-outfits (* = meaning stuff that you can find at Forever 21 or where that looks someone like it) is Zac Posen. He just created a more causal-head-to-the-stores line that is ready-to-wear. Here is his Spring 2006 collection:

1 - Boy-cut denim. You see how it is a little bit more flared and baggy at the bottom? Well that is the new trend on how and what you girls will be wearing soon. I know I have said tailored pants but the boy-cut tailored is fitted every where BUT the leg opening. Plus, the shirt is cute too.

So key staple item in this collection:

1_ Boy-cut baggy-leg opening denim pants. Key element: TO BE WORN WITH HEELS!

So I hope the photos help. Some of you may like it, some of you wont but remember, dont be a fashion follower. Wear the key things that will help you become a trend setter! I know I've been a fighter for heels (esp. stilettos) but in the long run, you will thank me. Next time, I will introduce some fashion looks that will help you out for the fall.

Fashion Tip of the Week .16

So first and foremost...I wanna thank everyone who has continually read my fashion tips of the week...cuz that is just so steller that everyone continues to support me and takes my tips into consideration! So far...the count is over 1000 views! THANKS! So its not my fault that y'all didnt help me all the way to 1000. My suprise was that I would get live photos of possible outfits. But o well. Just make sure you check out the coming tips for a suprise.


So this week, is all about layering. How to properly do it.

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #16: Layering... Most girls might not know that they arent properly layering their camisoles with their sweaters or v-necks or whatever that it may be. So here I am to teach how to properly layer.

If you are going to wear a long sleeve deep v-neck then it is recommended that you wear a seamless-cami to put under it. BUT, make sure that the colors ARE NOT THE SAME!

My rules:

# 1- DONT WEAR THE SAME COLORS WHEN LAYERING! Betcha alot of y'all didnt know that.

#2- When layering...it is STRONGLY recommended that you layer thin clothing. Because bulkiness will only add onto the weight.

#3- Wear clothing that is FITTED to your body because it will slim down the appearance of layered materials.

#4- Contrasting colors are important.

#5- Layering is only meant for tops...NOT BOTTOMS!

#6- Never layer the same type of shirt (but there are exceptions: white-beater like tanks/a-tanks.... the other one is when you layer shirts...if one is more fitted and longer than the other, then its welcomed.)

#7- the longer shirt SHOULD ALWAYS be bottom layer than the top one.

#8- The whole point of layering is to show off different pieces so make sure that the under layer is showing in a significant manner.

#9- Popped collar polos are for those who have small necks, not stubby ones. So dont try to layer vests with popped collars.

#10- Finally, layering is important to looking your best in any situation whether that be casual or a more formal occasion!

Fashion Tip of the Week .15

So yes yes! i am back! and partially regenerated with new tips for this week! But first let me thank you all for being such patient people and given me a reason to continue my tips and hushed those critics that trash my fashion tip of the week! So a big thanks to all of you!

FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK #15: So this tip of the week is a rehash of tailored clothing because I really dont think society gets the whole idea of that. I mentioned it a little bit before but time to go into depth about it. Another thing I want to discuss is tapered pants.

So tailored clothing is super super important to making the clothes fit the body and important for you to sport the clothes like how they are meant to sport them!


Here are some key things you need to know:
1_ Pick tops that clinch to the arch of your sides.
2_ If you got perky friends then you should wear what I like to call the faux "x" cut.
3_ If you happen to be big, then you should wear things that clinch at side where you bust ends (when supported by a bra). Thereby releasing the "rolls" and letting the bottom part of the shirt flow out and protecting you from showing rolls of any kind
4_ Find places that can create curves and find places to eliminate too much of a curve. Hence, the tailoring.
5_ Dont wear low-rise if you know you dont have a butt... that wont save you.
6_ Waist jeans will help support those who need lifts in the rear. Go 70s style.
7_ Have jeans hemmed if they are too long for you!
8_ Finally, throw some color into your wardrobe and be slightly daring with intermixing colors.


As for tapered pants, they can make you seem fatter than you really are ladies! So avoid tapered pants, and wear pants that will make you lose that extra fat!

*No pictures this time but I promise as the tips come along later... you'll see it. Plus...a little bit for now so I keep you salivating for more!

In the coming weeks, I want to discuss: How to put together a correct layering of particular outfits. And it is my hope that I get y'all to wear the new upcoming seasons and not be a follower of trends but to be a trend-setter! Ill be giving you tips to live a healthy and vivacious lifestyle and shed off those pounds through pieces that will make you appear slimmer then you are! These are just some of things Ill be talking about this week and the weeks to come...
